Reiki has been defined as a non-physical healing technique that utilises life force enrgy, which is guided by a Higher or Spititual Intelligence. The word Reiki translates to "universal life force energy". Its purpose is to heal and enhance the quality of life for both the channel and the recipient.
Reiki is based on the premise that universal life force energy flows through all living things. When blockages occur, this energy cannot flow freely through the body. An experienced Reiki practitioner can tap into the universal flow and cannel the energy to move into and through those blockages, which prompts the cells of the body to relax and heal naturally. Treating the whole person, including the mind, emotions, spirit and body.
It's a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing that everyone can benefit from, whether your an adult, child or baby. As western dedicine continues to explore alternative methods of healing, Reiki is destined to play an important and ever increasing role.

During session, guidance from a Higher or Spiritual Intelligence is sometimes offered to the recipient, particularly if it supports the long term transformation required for the healing process. This guidance is an organic phenomenon, which can usually be felt, as well as heard, and is sometimes seen as in visions.
